TAMMY PARKER

The ritual of bathing has always been an important part of Tammy Parker’s everyday life, whether it was before the day got started or after a stressful workday. The bath had a healing component just behind the bathroom door. After trying product after product and being unsatisfied with the scratchy salt crystals and synthetic smells, Tammy started developing her own blend of softening soaks she called Immersion Therapy. Scents from natural essential oils blended with non-comedogenic oils and creams became the theme for her Verses of Poetry: Intimate Ritual. Each formulation was a study in how she wanted to feel refreshed, lightly fragrant and soft, and follows the adage: If momma is happy; everybody’s happy. One product led to the evolution of the next. Each product was created to replace moisture as the day’s discomfort was pulled away from every muscle.

She even wrote and produced a soothing guided imagery called the Bathysphere CD for centering while soaking in the tub or just to lie still and regroup. The Bathysphere was inspired by the poems she writes. The poems are included on every container of the Poetry collection.

Tammy’s personal creations have evolved into a full line of bath and beauty products and accessories called Poetry: Intimate Ritual, sold in boutiques in her hometown of Memphis. They’ve inspired a devoted following, and now department and specialty stores around the South are getting very interested in Tammy’s Poetry.
